Roc is right, any of you Guild Wars video makers that have at least ONE posted GW video on Youtube is qualified to join the GWVM group; We have lots are recognizable members including Jack McDaniels We feature the newest GW's videos that you make so that fellow members can watch/rate and enjoy what you have created; we also have discussion threads about contests, events, and casting needs for filmakers. As for the tons of gold and green weapons Roc mentioned, Let's just say that i had to unload one full char with 2 Rune of Holding bags full of UNIDENTIFIED req 9's and 10's because my OTHER 2 chars holding prize giveaways for this competition were full! We value your different styles in video making and in hopes of ensuring fair judgment of everyone's hard work we would like to have every member submit their top 3 choices from the submitted videos in the competition.
Thank you for making this a record breaking participation event guys! Reign Alliance and Blade Radio was happy to give back to the community but even more thrilled to see the event appreciated and embraced. It's extremely important to us that all the hard work of those that submitted are given the fairest judging possible and in order to do so we created a voting system we believe will ensure a balance in the power of the vote. No one group holds heavier weight than another. So be sure to participate and know your vote makes a difference! Again, only one may place and I would think it extremely rare that 2 would be of equal quality. Since this is not like the lottery and basing entries on a game of chance but rather a quality and entertainment evaluation, I think this compromise allows the videomaker who wants to win the most a chance to really put forth their best effort without enabling anyone to abuse the system. That being said remember that the GWVM group will count as one panel of judges. This is to ensure a balance of power of the vote, we believe that videomakers should have a voice in what they believe equals a winning submission and that may vary from what our small alliance believes in; therefore, by having judging panels we can get a more cohesive opinion overall as to which video truly deserves the top three positions. We will not be evaluating by view count or ratings so don't worry about that. It has already been reported that someone has put a one star rating on a submission and further nullifies judging by that system. By only accepting votes from fellow GWVM group members who must email from their account; we ensure integrity as well as no manipulation of numbers from a popular vote by a large guild kindly trying to support a guildie. I hope this gives you insight to our deeply thought out process. I really appreciate you coming to us with your (and the others') concerns. If you feel that our decision was not reasonable please submit a petition of names requesting the "only one submission rule" and we can then discuss the matter further. and that External Hard Drive is EPIC! I seriously cannot believe that's the prize lol. To be honest, that's sort of what convinced me to join in the first place as well as it being an awesome contest obviously, but I was going to buy an External Hard Drive to put all my files on while I reinstalled windows because it is currently riddled with viruses, it looks like a very useful. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not telling you that to convince me to win or anything like that, I'm not that kind of person Good luck to everyone entering! This has been a very very fun comp indeed.
